Can someone explain
the differences:
ICI - Intra-cervical Insemination
ICSI - Intra-cytoplasmic Sperm Injection
ITI - Intra-tubal Insemination
IUI and IVF I understand what they are. But when I read threads with this lingo - I get lost

Re: Can someone explain
I know ICSI is when they inject the sperm directly into the egg during IVF.
It's to help when there is Male Factor.
I don't know the others.

Re: Can someone explain
ICI- sperm into the cervix ITI- sperm into the tubes
As far as I know, not used very often at all...
ICSI- used during IVF, usually with male factor. Basically a sperm is injected into the egg to fertilize it, instead of it doing it by itself.

Okay, then maybe I don't understand IUI - isn't that what ICI is?

.
I Know RSONY and NSUH dont do either. I dont think anyone does those anymore.
ICI was to bypass the cervical stenosis sometimes cervical cancer and pre cancerous cell removal causes and was used briefly in the past.
ITI I havent heard of in years.

Re: Can someone explain
FRom what I read ITI was used pre-IVF or at least in the early days of IVF before more labs were doing it.
I could be wring but I think it's mostly a outdated practice.
