Can someone explain the Kong toy?
We were shopping this weekend to prepare for our new addition and saw this toy.
Do your pets like it?
What's so great about it?

Rudy likes it. You can put a treat in it or peanut butter (rudy's favorite) and the have to bounce it around to get the treat out or keep LICKING for the peanut butter. Although Rudy is a monster and it takes him all of 2 seconds

they are good because they keep MOST dogs occupied for a while. They are tough toys.

Re: Can someone explain the Kong toy?
My one word of advice is get the black ones.
The colored ones he can rip right apart. But his black one is still in tact.
It must have something to do with the dying process.
But a little peanut butter in it keeps him occupied for hours. Just make sure he has it somewhere where you don't mind a bit of a mess!!

Re: Can someone explain the Kong toy?
Bella gets hers everyday when we go to work. We fill it with dog food then seal it up on the ends with peanut butter and then put it in the freezer over night. It takes her a while to get it all cleaned out, but by the time we get home from work its empty.

Re: Can someone explain the Kong toy?
Katie loves hers- she has the red one. On a special occasion she gets some peanut butter but usually we put some Filet Mignon Milkbone chewy treats in there. She loves to chew but hasn't shredded this. Great thing about this toy is that you can put it in the dishwasher.

Re: Can someone explain the Kong toy?
my puppy has no idea what to do with the kong. he tried for about thirty seconds to get the treat out, put it down, came over to me and sat down (which means, "mommy, give me a treat please").

I saw this on TV once - good for dogs with separation anxiety!
our dog tears apart kongs, but it takes him much longer to destroy these then most other toys
