Can someone give me an OPK Primer?
Yesterday I was at the pharmacy staring at the OPKs and had no idea what to get. With my dd I never used them and just temped but got pregnant quick. This time I didn't use anything and got pregnant but it was a blighted ovum. I just got AF so we will be getting ready to try again and I have no idea what my cycle is. I thought about temping but with my schedule and having a child it is nearly impossible to get up at the same time every day. What's the difference between all the OPKs? Should I get the one that has 20 tests or is that a waste? They are expensive! Help!

I have used the Clearblue OPK (not advanced, regular) and found them to work well for me. If you want you can test with the cheap ones off amazon (wondfo), and once you are getting close to a positive you can test with the Clearblue ones so as not to waste them since they are more expensive. Best of luck!

Thanks for your response! A few questions...is the regular CBE OPK the one with 7 tests? Is the advanced just more tests or does it do something else? When do you start testing with the wondfo? How do you know you are close to a positive?

The clearblue digital gives you a smiley when it detects your surge. And open circle if it's negative. The advanced will give you a few days of flashing smiley and then a solid smiley, giving you more notice of your fertile window.
Most people start testing on day 10. As you learn your cycle you will have a better idea of when you should expect to ovulate. I was always around day 16/17. Not the generic day 14.
