Can someone Help!
A friend of mine lost their house in the storm.  They will be staying with his parents until they can recover. But they have 2 large dogs that his parents don't have room for. They are looking to find someplace that can help foster the dogs until they get back on their feet. Please, please I am heartbroken for this family and I would love to help get them a little bit peace of mind.

They can board them at the vet.
I lost my house in a fire 2 months ago. I boarded my cat. My insurance company actually reimbursed me for it because it was an additional living expense because the cat lost her house too. I was very surprised. I dont know if every insurance company does it, but mine did.

I dont know where you are but I just posted on the other board. Check out Sharon's Ark in West Islip its a no frills boarding place that is extremely reasonable.

contact a few rescues to post on their Facebook pages
try amsterdog, anarchy animal rescue, rebound hounds, reefuge,-they have large followings and maybe they can help spread the word further

I know animal anarchy rescue does fostering for dogs. they have many contacts in the ny area and might be able to help you.
