Pro's to Duvet, it's cheaper then buying a comforter or entire new bedding set when you want to change things around.
Also, Much easier to wash instead of a bulky comforter.
Con's to Duvet, the thing never stayed on right (I know you can buy clips but that never worked for us either)

You can give your room a totally new look by changing the duvet but its also annoying b/c it doesnt stay put

Another Pro to a duvet...is you can have a ton of different ones and change up your bedding with out a ton of bulky different comforters in your closet planning to take it over some day LOL
We have a duvet and we really dont really have issues with it moving
I love it.

Re: Can someone please explain the pros/cons of comforter vs. duvet cover
I have a down comforter with 4 duvet sets. For about $200 spent on duvets, my bedroom can have 4 different looks.
Washing them is a breeze and storage is simple. Twice a year I wash my comforter and its a huge production.

Re: Can someone please explain the pros/cons of comforter vs. duvet cover
I had a duvet on my bed, and I recently changed to a comforter. The duvet would always look wrinkly and lumpy when I made my bed! I had problems with it bunching too.
I think comforters are more user friendly! But duvets seem to be the thing now, cause they come in so many more styles and patterns!
