Can someone please look at this and tell me if this is enough food for my 8 month old?
Sorry for the multiple food posts lately - I'm just a nervous first time Mommy
My 8 month old is giving me a ton of eating issues so this is what I can get him to eat (based on today and last night) and I would love some opinions if this is OK/enough/nutritional...
Morning: - 8 oz bottle and level 2 prunes
Afternoon: - a few pieces of cut up banana (not alot, maybe two or three slices cut up into little pieces) - a level 2 sweet potato - some puffs - some water
about a 1/2 hour later - 8 oz bottle
Dinner: (based on last night which I am going to try and repeat) - a level 2 fruit - puffs - maybe some left over cooked peppers from last night's dinner (last night I tried giving him some chicken and carrots and it worked but he only had a little)
right before bed another 8 oz bottle
Any advice/input is appreciated! Thanks!!

24oz is great - teh other food is just for practice and it sounds perfect as well!
My DD is 10m drinks 20oz, 3 "jars" and various finger food through out the day

I hate to answer with the "what does your Ped say" but our Ped didn't want us cutting back on ounces until 9 months.. so at 8months DD gets 30oz a day and 1-3 small servings of purees for practice.. I occasionalyl give her puffs to for practice and because it buys me a good 20 minutes to get things done

every baby develops skills different when it comes to solids.
I would say as long as the formula/bm intake is good, give whatever solids they want as extra.
We naturally ran into a problem where DS couldn't stand drinking and just wanted to eat. So at 8m he was eating a lot more than that, but honestly I wouldn't push it one way or another. You don't want to create a habit of stress at the dinner table

As Tilde said, food is just for practice. I would actually bump up the bottles a little...my kids are 2.5 so I can't remember how many oz they were getting, but I always gave them bottles, then food to practice with. So this was our schedule:
8AM-Wake and bottle- 1 hr after bottle some fruit and oatmeal for breakfast
10:30-small bottle and nap
Wake 12-12:30 bottle with some more food about 1 hr after
4-5 bottle followed by food
My kids didn;t start eating a lot until they were about 9-10 months. They get all the nutrition they need from formula or BM

My 8 month old daughter eats a lot less and it's perfectly fine. They self regulate and it's not needed right now.
She nurses every 3-4 hours, but here is her food schedule. Half the time she refuses breakfast and lunch. I always offer, but sometimes she's just not interested. She will always eat the yogurt though.
10:00am - fruit (usually 1/2 a banana mashed) 1pm fruit or veggie (1/2 size 2 jar) and puffs 6pm - I give her a rice cereal mum-mum while I am cooking dinner 6:30 6oz yogurt (I do stoney field farms with fruit and veggie). Then I give her a bit of whatever we had for dinner. She usually plays with it, but some ends up in her mouth. At least she is tasting it. She'll sometimes snack on puffs, yogurt bites, or gerber little crunchies.
