Can someone recommend a good place to go get Brazilian Keratin treatment?
After all the posts on here, I'm really interested!
Also, what are all the costs? (Cost for treatment, special shampoos etc). And, can I still color my hair???

I went to Majestic Salon in Seaford, Merrick Road, i always go to Jen C. She is amazing! 300 for brazilian, includes 2 bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and a blowout that can be used at any time after the treatment.
I highly reccomend this salon and jen

Does this damage your hair?

No it does not damage your hair at all, its more of a deep conditioning treatment thats locked in with heat.
You can color and highlight your hair 2 weeks after the treatment, it also works very well with people who have highlighted hair as well.

I did mine at Giovanna's Salon in Massapequa with Antoinette. I know Impulse Salon in Seaford does it also. Probably between $250-300 and the shampoo and conditioner are $20 each.

This link has questions and answers about the BKT. The place that I go to for JHS also does BKT. I use Melissa. She is great! But they are in Queens.

Karma Salon in Merrick (N. Merrick) depends on length of hair, usually 200-300. You only have to buy shampoo that has no sulfites, they seel it at CVS for 6.99.
Go to Krista, she has been doing mine for years. I LOVE HER

Re: Can someone recommend a good place to go get Brazilian Keratin treatment?
Thanks everyone! I was hoping it was more in the $150 range I have thick, long hair and it takes me FOREVER to get it straight. In fact, I've been leaving it wavy/curly because I don't have time to straighten and it just looks like crap....
I will check that link for the Queens place - I live in Queens so that's actually probably easier!

A lady I work with goes to Hair Village. She goes to Mimi. Her hair is thick and curly and now it's straight, with body and does not frizz.
I'm not sure how much she paid, sorry.
