can someone tell me about mineral makeup
I am curious - how/why is it different then other make up? Is it easy to use...how is the coverage - what is the best brand?

Re: can someone tell me about mineral makeup
the only mineral makeup ive tried is bare minerals.
i have to say, i will never go back to any other type of makeup! it just feels different...actually it feels like nothing at all. it really does work with your skin, so it doesnt irritate it or dry it out. plus i think it looks the most natural.
the more you practice with it, the better you get at applying it and figuring out how much you should be using. i really think it depends on the indivual. its not difficult, but it does take a few tries to get it right.
i highly recommend trying it.
ETA: coverage is great when you learn how to work with it. you can competely cover and area and have everything esle look shear, yet it all seems seemless. i have naturally unever skin and it def evens out my skintone.

Re: can someone tell me about mineral makeup
i use bare minerals and is supposed to me better for you skin obviously bc it is natural, and since i am prone to break outs i try to use this more often, however i dont find that it covers up or gives that "makeup affect" like mac or other brands.

I love it too...I never had "problem" skin, so I do not see those benefits, however the application is what I love. I am not a big make-up wearer, so being able to apply it with minimal use of a mirror is great!!!!

I agree! I will never go back! I have run out and had to use liquid again for like a day and I hate it now!

Re: can someone tell me about mineral makeup
I can never go back to liquid. With the bare minerals, I feel like I have nothing on my face - it's great. I also have very uneven skin tones and the mineral makeup evens it all out.

Re: can someone tell me about mineral makeup
I used Bare Minerals for 41/2 years and then my MIL got me hooked on PUR minerals and I love it so much more. It is a pressed mineral foundation instead of a loose one. I also noticed with this brand that my face does not look oily after an hour and it seems to last a lot longer. It is the same price and I know if you buy it online through either ShopNBC, HSN or QVC ( I dont remember which one sells them) and if you dont like it you can return it. It is very easy to use also and it does have SPF 15

You apply it with a brush the same way. Your skin looks amazing afterwards and if you have larger pores its really hides thems. The coverage is also great.
