can someone tell me about Upromise in english please?
I FINALLY filled out the paperwork for my daughters 529 account today (yeah she is almost 2.5 years old - what was I waiting for??) and along with it I signed up for Upromise - but I really have NO idea how it works, can someone fill me in?

with UPromise you link your credit cards to your child's 529 and a percentage of each purchase goes in - I think?

Once a CC is linked to an account, certain purchases at certain vendors (restaurants, gas stations, supermarkets, etc) allow a percentage (usually 1% to 5%) to be deposited in your account. If you get a Upromise CC, every purchase puts money in your account. Their site lists which businesses participate. Exxon/Mobile does, so I buy most of my gas from them.

Also if you do a lot of online shopping if you access certain retailers website through Upromise website you get a percentage.
