Can we discuss Mockingjay? (spoilers maybe)
I loved, loved, loved this trilogy but did anyone else feel like she really rushed the last book? I was happy with it and didn't feel like I totally knew what to expect but I feel like there could have been a lot more detail so either a longer book or made into two books.
I hope she's not done. She could definitely keep going or write a book from Peeta or Gale's view.
I guess the first book is being made into a movie. Production starting this year.

Yes, the magic was gone for me in Mockingjay. Katniss just seemed so whiny.

I liked the first 2 but the 3rd one just did not do it for me. I didn't like the ending at all and I felt like during the whole story I was waiting for something to happen, not sure what, but it never happened. Very disappointing.

Yes it was very anti-climatic, again I think because it was rush and crammed into one short book.
Not enough detail of Peeta "snapping" out of it so to speak. Then Gale's whole story line was kind of a wash in this book. I definitely that could have been played up more in the book. Katniss was kind of blah in this book too.
I still loved the trilogy and would read it again in a heartbeat but this book really was lacking that "wow" factor that the other two had.

I liked the first two much better. Gale just annoyed me more and more with every page. Plus I really thought Cinna was going to come back. She made it seem like he wasn't dead, the way he planned all those things for her, at least to me.

I was definitely hoping for Cinna to reappear.
I was kind of indifferent to Gale. He definitely could have been a more prominent character but he was just so passe.
I still want more.....

I went to a book signing for Mockingjay and I really wanted to ask Suzanne Collins about Cinna, but we weren't allowed to ask her any questions. It was like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld! Hand Suzanne the book, get it stamped, and move on!

Re: Can we discuss Mockingjay? (spoilers maybe)
I agree, I read it twice and it still was kinda blah. On a side note my sister, age 21, has never ever been a reader. Over Christmas I went down to visit my family and my sister had surgery for a torn ACL, MCL and LCL so she was trapped on the couch. Everyday, I read from Hunger Games to her. I left all 3 books with her and it turns out she is addicted. I love it!!!

Definitely agree! Very anti-climatic. I don't know what I expected, but it just let me down. DH didn't even finish it he was so disappointed. I actually just wound up telling him the ending last night. He was for Prim but for Katniss shooting Coin.
