Can we discuss the absolute smoking hotness of the Tudors? (this could contain spoilers)
yeah, um, I love Charles. I want to eat him for breakfast lunch and dinner.
even though he broke my heart yesterday, he is still so
I HATE George Boleyn and what he did to his wife
I could watch Henry bang random women until I die of old age.
even though I hated her in the beginning, my soft side feels badly for Ann.

Totally! I really don't dig him so much out of character though.

So where can I buy the first season and watch it. Is it on sale yet?
I don't have the channel I need to see this show and it KILLS ME!! I would think I could get it on demand but I can't!

I'm loving this season much more than the last- we're actually getting some historical accuracy now and it's not just a parade of Henry VIII's numerous women. I'm very curious to see if they are going to continue with all six wives and if they will uglify Jonathan Rhys-Myers as the character grows older and fatter.
Along those lines- if you love the Tudors, you'll love this trailer parody:

I got it fairlry inexpensive at Target last week. I'm sure Amazon has it.
After listening to a coworker talk about it I had to try it and may I just say how glad I am that I did
I love history to begin with, but just gotta love smoking hot history
Can't wait to buy season 2 on DVD. Darn you basic cable!

Posted by doormouse and if they will uglify Jonathan Rhys-Myers as the character grows older and fatter. At this point, he should already be uglier and fatter...and much taller and a redhead But Jonathan is more pleasant to look at (ONLY as Henry...he is too wonky-eyed for me otherwise).
Charles is just too delicious for words *swoon*

No one does. He's only hot in character.
I'm 3 weeks behind. I need to kick DH out for a while so I can get my fix.

Re: Can we discuss the absolute smoking hotness of the Tudors? (this could contain spoilers)
I spent all morning yesterday watching the Season 2 episodes to date on Showtime on Demand. I was in heaven!
Not to take away from the hotness of this thread, but does anyone know of enjoyable books that I can read regarding Tudor history?
Everytime I watch the show, I am frustrated by all the comments that have double meaning that I can't fully appreciate because I don't know the history behind it all!!!

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory is a great story too. Actually Philippa Gregory has a few books about that time period.
And I am totally in love with Henry VIII...and Jonathan Rhys Meyers! I swear, I watch the show with my mouth hanging open!

OMG, I'm totally in love with the show, they are all so hot, and I can't wait to watch it every week...especially Charles (in and out of character he's a hottie!)
Philippa Gregory's books are great, The other Boelyn Girl is so much better than the movie, and the Boelyn Inheritance is awesome!

I am in love with Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry and pray for a hot sex scene every week with him involved. He has to be one of the sexiest on screen men I have seen in a long time.

Oh, I hope not. I love the historical facts, but I watch it for the hotness of JRM . When he is in character O M G . DH & I just rented "August Rush" Sunday night and I was the whole time. DH told me to pick my tongue up off the floor.

I agree. I think she plays a great Ann.
historically speaking, I don't think Jane Seymour was as "interesting" as Ann Boleyn....
I am hoping Henry maintains his love of mistresses in the coming season
