Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
I did a quick post search and didn't find anything on this.... (forgive me if this has been discussed)
Are any Heroes watchers EXTREMELY disappointed with the season? It's confusing, ridiculous, overwhelming and just BAD.
Please say you agree! I don't want to go off on a blabber-fest about it if I'm the only one...

This week's show was just ridiculous. I LOVE this show but am having a really hard time defending it now as it's sooooo hard to follow. It's all over the place. When a show is more confusing than it is entertaining I think it's in trouble.

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
i am a die hard heroes fan...and every Monday i just look at my DH with such confusion on my face. i'm like
i agree that the show is all over the place...i know it's a show that jumps a lot, scene to scene...but between patrelli's father back in the picture and sylar being like a nice guy...i'm just confused and unhappy how the season is going.
that being said...i will still continue to watch it :)

I am finding this season to be a bit more confusing, but I still think its a great show. Much better than last season. I love that its unpredictable, and you are thrown for a loop at the end of every episode. Its much more like season 1.

I agree. The episodes tend to confuse me a bit, and I'm not really sure where they are going with certain characters or what will happen, but I'm still enjoying it.

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
Im SO HAPPY that you all replied with the same feelings!
They had sooo much time to come up with "good stuff", what were they all doing during the writer's strike?!?
I feel like we got SOME answers this past week, but they confused me even more AND they are too little, too late.
The Noah/Syler story line is RIDICULOUS. It's so silly to have Syler "good" for awhile. And the Tracy Strauss stuff is weird and annoying.
I agree with the PP that said they are introducing too many new characters...

I don't think its confusing, I think its action packed and its just introducing alot of things that are going to happen in the future.
The way I look at it is, I am really enjoying all the action. I don't need answers to everything, I really just like to enjoy the ride.

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
i do think this season is confusing, but that's what makes me tune in each monday. it's like, OMG, what does that mean, and eventually you get your answer. supposedly 2 characters are supposed to die next episode - one villian and one hero. having mr petrelli alive is a total trip, and i can't wait to see what happens.

I am also having trouble following it. Its just too much back to the future, back to the present... And I don't think any of the storylines are particularly interesting.

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
The past 2 seasons I have been a die hard Heroes fan. Really really loved the show. Now, I think it is terrible. I watch out of loyalty and with hopes that it is going to get better, but I feel like they are making the characters do things that they would never do, or even seemed slightly inclined to do. And the plots are not compelling to me, either.
Sylar NEVER expressed that he was tormented with a hunger, but otherwise a good person. He has always wanted more and more power. But Mrs. Petrelli says some stuff to him, and suddenly he wants to change? And he is so accepting of her, calling her "mom", no questions asked? What about his other mother? I don't buy it.
And Mohinder (sp?) was always so level headed! He kinda grounded the show, and never expressed interest in having powers himself. He always wanted to help and understand. But he suddenly decides to inject himself with a serum that he is not even sure is ready? Again, I don't buy it.
I hope it gets better.

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
DH won't watch it anymore.. I love Heroes but there are so many new characters that sometimes I just don't know where the show is going.. and now that Mr. Petrelli is back, and took all of Peter's powers, I don't know what's going to happen

Ok, i am a die-hard heroes fan and have watched every episode so this response will sound like a dorky comic book message board comment- but actually sylar had expressed a few times his remorse and how he did not want the completely "innocent" to die. He became a crazy serial killer to be "someone" so his mother would be proud. The root of his evil is the yearning for mother acceptance. I have many examples of scenes from the show that express but i won't get too crazy, lol.
I understand how the show has lost interest to many. I find it interesting that the "good" heroes are turning "bad" and vice versa. They really need to start tying things together a bit though.

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
DH and I have watched Heroes since the first episode. This season is all over the place and they are introducing way too many new characters. It seems like 5 new characters every episode. This is the kind of show that will never resolve anything and will constantly take turns. I don't mind that but I think they are going overboard this season.

I have to disagree. It's hard not to compare it to Lost. Lost darts in and out of the past, present and future... Lost introduces new characters all the time.. Lost has complex storylines and action. But Lost does it right.
Heroes does not do any of this properly. I find myself not giving a rats @ss about the characters anymore. Most of them are so annoying.
I miss the days of the Heroes being ordinary people doing extraordinary things... with great writing and plots. Action doesn't do it for me.
Great article on what is wrong with Heroes and how to fix it

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
DH and I just discussed dropping Heroes from the DVR list.
Its just getting boring. First off, I don't like the corporate feud they are setting up. Rival companies. One company was enough.
I also am losing interest in the characters. Sylar was bad, then good, then bad but may really be good. Peter has no powers- which sux.l (Thankfully they got rid of "bad" future Peter).
Who are the "Heroes" besides Hiro and Parkman? Everyone seems to have gone evil or going Rogue (Claire)?
And what happened ot the New Orleans storyline? Where is Mica, his cousin and Molly?

Re: Can we talk about this season's Heroes again?
I agree with all of the above. This season is not going well. We still have hope since season 1 was so amazing. Season 2 was OK but we did not like the Hiro/medieval storyline.
This season may be more confusing than LOST.

Ahh great, great, great points! lol to "bad" future Peter. What the hel! are the writers thinking?
I was wondering if Mica was gone for good now that his mom died. What about his cousin that worked at the fast food place but could mimic what was on tv?
ugh, I hate being so commited to these shows (hoping they'll get good one day) and boring myself to tears watching them. I have such a problem!

ITA. Im not confused by it.. but it is jumping the shark a little. The things they are all doing just don't make sense to their characters and the story line ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!!

I hear you on that! But at least I take some pleasure in finding the holes and complaining about things that "would have never happened in season 1". That keeps me entertained. But it is so so sad how something so good can turn so bad.
What is the deal with Sylar? He finds out he has another mother and is so totally accepting of her. He hasn't asked any questions about this at all. Its like Mrs. Petrelli calls him "Son" and he is like "What? Oh ok, mom." Doesn't he want to know what the heck is going on? I thought he was yearning for knowledge and all that stuff.
