Can we talk Sprinkles? (as in, the distant cousin of showers)

Ok, so, I won't be registering and will be having a brunch at a restaurant as a celebratory thingy.

I'm also paying for it/picking out & paying for stuff myself, under the guise of my mother...this way, things are the way I'd like and there is no burden on anyone. Chat Icon

Now, what else can I do differently?
I don't want to wear any silly hat. And if people DO bring gifts, do I have to really open them up in front of everyone?

I hate being the center of attention, so keep that in mind.

How do you word a sprinkle invite?

Thanks!

I'm no help b/c I registered for mine and opened gifts.
We just had a apps and dessert party at my friends house. Conversation and presents. No games or any of that stuff. It was small and low key.
I think it would be helpful to your guests to register for some things you may need.

my friend just had a sprinkle
it was very close friends and family about 25 people on the invite it said
please be a dear and wrap in clear! so we didnt have to sit and watch her open gifts, also there was no fancy chair or hats or anything, she was there to greet guests as they came it,
i dont usually like the idea of sprinkles but it was very nice
