I know. i woke up with a sinking feeling in my chest. The images will be on the tv and it is on everyones minds,

It's so weird that seven years has gone so fast. And yet, I can still remember exactly what I did that day. I'm already teary and ready to cry today. I'm not an emotional person at all and I'm amazed that this day, every year, evokes so much emotion from me. Everything I felt in 2001 comes back.

It definately is a difficult day. Even this morning when DH & I woke up, it was a somber mood in our house. We both remember all too well that day & like I said yesterday, there are days I can't believe it is 7 years ago but there are days it feels like it was yesterday morning!!!!
Hope all stay safe today & can get through the day

It was such a difficult day for me. I remember my mom called me that morning after she got off work to tell me that she was heading to Century21 to do a bit of shopping and after I got off the phone with her like 15 minutes later I heard on the radio while sitting in my office in Manhattan that a plane crashed in WTC.
I was so nervous and I tried calling my mom and could not get through to her on her cell. I bawled like crazy that day because I coul not reach my mom for hours. Especially knowing that she was in that area. I had to walk from W57th Street straight to my mom house in Brooklyn.
It was such a horrible day that it pains my heart to this day.

Same with me. I didnt even know it had happened until after (I was in class) and I'll never forget going up to the office I worked at on campus and everyone was crying and when they told me I collasped into the arms of one of secretaries.  7 years later and it still feels like yesterday.

I am working at home today and I had the coverage on all morning and hearing the names read and the bells chiming (to signal moment of silences) still sends chills down my spine and my eyes filled with tears...

Honestly, yes, I can - b/c it has been that long and I'm just so drained from the same thing going on every year at this time ...........
I just want them to rebuild it already so we can all start to heal and move on .........as IF anyone could EVER FORGET what happened that day ??? Never ever, so why keep a big gaping hole in the middle of downtown Manahttan as a miserable reminder everyday of that horriffic event?
We're never going to forget, but why do they have to open up the wound and rub salt in it every single year? I'm so tired of being forced to be so sad on this day.............
