can you drink COKE ZERO while pregnant?
i am drinking way to many regular ( caffiene free) cokes . I am gaining weight like mad. Can i have one a day or maybe two

I was told you can have up to 16 ounces per day of caffeine. Some people drink 1-2 cups of coffee per day so I was comfy doing the same amount with soda

Mr Dr didn't really have a problem with artificial sweetners...just said no splenda for now because they don't know that much about it yet!!

shows how much doctors are diff. My doctor said the only artificial sweetner I can have was splenda!

My doctor said try and stay away from aritifical sweetners not the best for the little one

yup, mine too...I think this is totally a matter of what you are comfrotable with. I have a friend that drank diet snapple like it was going out of style her entire pregnancy, her three kids are al lfine. I never would do that but I think it's whatever you are comfrotable with and whgat your personal doctor recommends. I have had splenda after my first trimester and ever since and then a few diet snapples a week....

I have diet soda very occasionally- maybe two small glasses a month.
I have half a splenda in my once a day coffee a few times a week. The rest of the week I just use sugar in my coffee. I heard splenda is ok because girls with GD are told they can use it.
The caffeine in the coke zero is probably fine as they say you can have two caffeinated drinks a day- I would just be nervous ingesting that much aspartame.

I also stay away from artificial sweeteners - even when I'm not pregnant. I've had a sip of cofee here and there, if anything it's helped with my low blood pressure.

I drank diet cokes/pepsis/COFFEE throughout all 3 of my pregnancies and I have 3 HEALTHY and happy babies.

I don't trust artificial sweeters and stay away from them like the plague while pregnant. I drink a lot of water, caffeine free tea and a little juice. JMO that the sweeteners are bad.
