Can you feel the days getting longer?...
Yesterday was the Winter Solstice, so that means that there is more daylight today than there was yesterday!

Praise the lord. I HATE HATE HATE the short days - I feel like I never get anything done when it gets dark at like 4:30!

Nothing is more depressing than darkness at 4:30 pm.
The BEST part is right around early February when you can actually see a tiny bit of light in the sky around 5 pm or so.
That is when I start having a sparkle of hope again and the depression starts to lift!
BRING IT ON!!!

Actually, sunrise gets later until January 10th. Then it finally starts getting earlier. The extra sunlight is in the evening.
December 21
Sunrise: 7:13am
Sunset: 4:28pm
December 22
Sunrise: 7:14am
Sunset: 4:29
