Yes, I asked my ped. but the directions say up to 8x a day or something, that he did not recommend.

dd is almost three weeks and I gave it to her twice, but then I stopped I'm going to the ped next weeks so I want to ask before I give it to her again

You can totally give them to newborns.
I've never used little tummy's but I always used Target brand infant gas drops. They are just as effective and a fraction of the price. Food for thought...
