Can you help me with DS' Fall/Winter wardrobe?

ok...i tend to go a little overboard when buying clothes for DS (I replaced my Coach addiction with little boy clothes). Yesterday when getting DS dressed in the am I realized that I never really bought him any fall clothes! Everything he owns seems to be shorts, short sleeve shirts or tanks. So yesterday I took advantage of the Gap/Old Navy sale and went to town. Or I thought so, because now I'm questioning whether I underbought. Do you think these are enough clothes for fall/winter? I'm trying NOT to do what I did with the summer which is buy EVERY article of clothing that I loved. Yes, in hindsight I purchased way too many clothes. How many clothes do "normal" mom's buy for their child? DS is thin and should fit in these clothes till Spring. I wound up buying:
Six pairs of cargo pants (Black, Drk Grey, Lt Grey, Blue, Navy, Brown)
Grey Jeans
Tan Cords
Black Knit Pants
Denim Overalls
2 pairs of blue jeans
7 assorted shirts
1 hoodie
7 long sleeve graphic onesies
3 coats

I don't know-I swore I wouldn't go overboard but I did anyway. Even though I don't like boy clothes nearly as much as girls, I still bought too muchChat Icon

I think that's perfect! You have enough outfits for two weeks without doing laundry. That's a good measuring tool Chat Icon

I just finished buying DS pants for fall, he needs a few more shirts but I haven't seen much that I like out there.

I think that is fine too. I got my kids about 10 outfits each for the fall season and then they got another 3-4 as gifts. DD also has some of DSs jeans and so she has about 10 pairs of pants, 5 fall dresses and 12 tops and a few sweaters. DS has about 9 pairs of pants and 15 shirts, some sweat shirts and sweaters. They both have 3 jackets. A wind breaker, a dress coat for DD and a letterman coat for DS, and they each have a winter coat. DS had a huge summer wardrobe because he got new stuff and so much of last years things still fit him for longer than I expected.

Yep - more hoodies, less jackets.

ETS: What about sweats/play pants? My boys live in these. We just went to Gap at Tanger in Deer Park Monday and did our fall shopping. I just one in every color of everything for Ryan and did mostly Carters for Colin Chat Icon

I would add more sweats/windpants that stuff and maybe a few more regular shirts - I like to have at least 14 shirts (but I was never a fan on onsies types and see you have abunchof them at 2nd look) I like lots of shirts! I over buy shirts or feel like it but by the end of the season they are so worn so guess I needed them - esp as they get older and stay in sizes longer- - they last fall-winter into spring.

I also like to add 1-2 party type shirts - long sleeved button down or polo shirt.

Re: Can you help me with DS' Fall/Winter wardrobe?

I think you bought more then enough! So far I have a few things to get me started.

-4 sweats/comfy pants
-Overalls
-1 pair of jeans
-A few cute long leave shirts that I got on sale at denny's last season (he still has to grow into a lot of these)
-1 swishy JET sports outfit
-2 cute long sleeve shirts (casual)
-Two cute long sleeve onsises casual
-One heavy zip up sweatshirt
-A few light zip up sweatshits (some from last season)
-One pair of "walking" sneakers

I also love layering. I usually combine carters white long sleeve onsies with cute t shirts ( I thnk this looks cute)

I guess I def need some dressier clothes but I usally get those as gifts or buy when needed. On a daily basis I'm all about sweats and comfy clothing!

Def agree! I just went to carters and bought my son sweats/playpants two days ago. I NEVER put on jeans/cargo's unless he has a place to go that I want him to look a little cuter. Otherwise he lives in sweats/playpatns!

I also love track pants for DS for the fall/winter.
Carters and Gap make great pairs - super comfy and wash and wear great too.
