I am hooked on my espresso frapps but my budget is suffering. Do I need a blender with a specific setting or speed?

I would put chilled cofee (if you want it sweet, add sugar when the coffee is stillhot so that it dissolves), milk and ice in a blender and whirl. Add more ice if it's too watery. I used to add protein powder, too, when I worked at a health food store and oh wow...it was gooooooood!
ETA: Add a dash of chocolate syrup, too.
