Can you O earlier than normal?

I know you can O late due to all sorts of factors, but how likely is it to O earlier than you usually do?

How much earlier?

I guess if your cycles vary, then sometimes you might O earlier.

My range in length, so I've O'd as early as CD 17 and as late as CD 24.

Really, I'm just curious. But I usually O around CD18-20. I was just wondering, since you can O really date due to outside factors, what the chances are of suddenly O'ing on the 14th or something.

Happened to me when I got off the pill. I O'd early that first month.

I have O'd anywhere from cd11 to cd16, it can definitely vary month to month. The important thing to be aware of is that your luetal phase is at least 12 days (I think 10 or 11 I think are a little on the short side).

thanks. I've always been pretty consistent with O'ing, I just don't want to miss it as my cycle's pretty weird since my mc.

By the way, I have a 10-11 day LP and I got pregnant and stayed pregnant for 11 weeks - so there is hope for anyone with a short LP! Chat Icon

first of all, it's totally possible to O early, which is why the OPK instructions say to start using them about 3-4 days before you *think* you are going to O.

second of all, ITA with the short LP statement - my LP ranged from 8-12 days when i came off of birth control, and i am now 20 weeks pregnant. i think if it's not a progesterone issue, it's totally possible.

My LP was only 9-10 days when coming off the pill I started taking Vit B and it helped get it to 12 consistently. Good to know you can have a stick pregnancy w/ less than that though!

i took b-complex vitamins for a month and a half before i got my BFP but i am not sure if that had anything to do with it!
