can you post pics of shellac manicures?
Do they look like regular nails? A salon by me does this and I want to get them on Saturday but I don't want anything that looks fake.

Just had them done Fri. Excuse the wrinkley hands I have 
I broke the middle finger nail so its filed down and lopsided.
Otherwise, looks good

no, nothing aobut it is fake. I went today. LOVE the whole process. Which is a regular manicure, the only thing different is the polish.

-2wks unless you are harsh on your hands like me, and I get chipping prior to the end of 2wks.
-removal is 5/10 min. soaked in acetone, it literally flakes off. No filing needed. any leftover is taken off, with a little push of the cuticle stick.
-BETTER than GEL! it dosent ruin your nails!

I was *THIS* close to doing gel but then starting hearing horror stories of how it ruins your nails.
I am just DONE with manicures that chip in 2 days and look like utter cr@p all week after that!
This sounds like a great solution.
Now I have to find a place that offers it!

1. this is different from the OPI gell stuff?
2. do they do any filing of your nails before putthing this on?
3. how does this polish dry? Under the UV? In a dryer?

I had the OPI gel over the summer, messedup my nails, didn't like the filing. And I had regular acrylics and got sick of them my nails are a HOT MESS

Not suppose to, there is no need for it. Dont let them if they try. You get a regular mani, and then they polish with the shellac.
