Can you recommend a good blender?

This is probably a weird question but I'm going to ask anyway. I need a good blender that won't die when I want to make drinks with ice. I had one that smelled like it was burning. A lot of them SAY they're great for crushing ice but I want one that actually IS.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Can you recommend a good blender?

I just got this as a belated wedding gift, it was on my registry. I am going to test it out this week!
Its a kitchenaid

The KitchenAid Blender with Polycarbonate Pitcher is perfect for any cooking task including ice crushing & blending controls for thicker mixers. So whether your making soup or serving up margaritas this blender is the best option.

* 5-Speed Blender
* 56 Ounce One Piece Pitcher
* Cord Storage
