Can you recommend a plumber?

We have a couple of things that we need looked at in our new house.

1. The basement toilet keeps running and we tried changing the parts but still isn't working.

2. Our basement shower drips constantly.

3. When the cold water is left on in the main bathroom sink (while brushing your teeth) there's a really bad noise that you can hear throughout the house in the pipes.

4. The main shower drips while your taking a shower. When we turn the middle faucet so the water goes from the tub to the shower, it still runs.

5. Our water pipes in the basement drip, we don't know if it's just condensation or something else.

Now that you have a detailed list of what we need, can you recommend anyone? We obviously don't want to spend more then we have to.

TIA.
Michelle

Where do you live? My best friend's husband is a plumber. They are in Queens.

I live in Franklin Square. How do plumbers charge? Do they charge per job or hour, etc?

I can't recommend one for you to use, but I can recommend one for you NOT to use...Argo Plumbing.

Our old landlord used them...I can't tell if the shoddy work was because of them...or my CHEAP landlord.

Re: Can you recommend a plumber?

We've used Turnabout Plumbing several times and have been really happy with them. Pricing seems fair.

Most importantly, I've only been home 1x to meet them (out of 3 total visits), and my wife feels comfortable having them in the house and working when I'm not there.

Good luck!
