Can you recommend the good baby books?
Not sure where to start other than the standard What to Expect When You're Expecting. Any favorites?

Re: Can you recommend the good baby books?
For hubby:
Pregnancy Sucks for Men was a good read that DH enjoyed. It was written by a man in a funny way.
Your Pregnancy Week by Week was good
Also to research/buy things for baby: Baby Bargains is a MUST!

Re: Can you recommend the good baby books?
We LOVED Your Pregnancy Week By Week (much more comprehensive than What to Expect). Also, the Pregnancy Journal......
With the week by week, we read the upcoming week every Sunday........

Your Pregnancy Week by Week Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy The Expectant Father (for DH) What to Expect...
I heard Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy was good but I didn't read this one.

Re: Can you recommend the good baby books?
What to Expect does have a lot of good information, but something about the tone I find annoying. They make it sound as if you are going to harm the baby if you eat a cookie. There are also very few illustrations, which I like to see.
I like Pregnancy Week by Week I'm Pregnant (good color pics)
On the lighter side Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy Belly Laughs
The last two are great for some humor, and some more detailed descriptions about some of the annoying pregnancy problems that crop up.

Re: Can you recommend the good baby books?
Just as an FYI - What to Expect is an excellent book when you have questions. Do not read the whole thing through, you will freak yourself out.
