Maybe to get more responses state where you need the daycare. Are you looking in Queens, Nassau or Suffolk?

Do you want a big or a small daycare? I love my daycare but its in a house and there are like 8-10 kids...let me know if you want the name. Its in Melville.

Mine is an employee daycare center that opens up spots to the surrounding community. There is an insanely long wait list. My DC's were #1 on the list for a year before we were called so I can't recommend them.
Our second choice was Kiddie Academy.
The Tutor Time in my neighborhood has violations against it. I've heard nothing but negative stories about that particular center. Every location is different.
Whatever you do make sure you check the center for violations.

My older son went to the GSB YMCA in Bay Shore from age 2-4.
My younger son went to GSB YMCA for a year before we moved and then I sent him to Chatterbox Day School in East Islip.
Both places are AMAZING, but the children must be 18 months old to start there. Also - Chatterbox does a summer program instead of traditional pre-school during the summer.
For younger kids, my girlfriend uses Little Stars (a home based daycare) in West Sayville and has been very happy. I have also gotten a lot of recommendations for Kiddie Kampus in Bayport.
