Can you recommend your party entertainment?
Something with face painting, balloons, anything cute for a "princess" 1st birthday. 
I am in Suffolk.

We recently did a princess party for my DD's first birthday and we had a pink princess come...She did games (parachute), sang songs, face painting and balloon animals. It was a big hit with the boys and girls.
We used Adrenaline Entertainment. the webiste is rushoffun.com

WE used twinkle town and the kids LOVED them!!!

My family uses 'Nick the Balloonatic' for all of their childrens' parties. He is awesome! Even though your DD is turning 1, if you are having kids of various ages, Nick would be great!!

I have used twinlke town for 2 parties and they were fine.
my sister uses adrenaline and I like them better so this time around for my DD's 2nd birthday and my other DD's christening we are using them.

DDs last party (4th birthday) we used Small World Entertainment...they were by far the best we've had...they are in Suffolk. I believe their website is www.smallworldentertainment.com
We did a carnival theme party with games under a tent, a clown, face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy and sand art.
I have also used Little People Entertainment and I was very happy with them. I would use them again. This was for DDs 2nd birthday.

They did face painting, balloon animals, puppet show and had Dora come visit the kids.
We used Twinkle Town for her 3rd birthday. I won't say anything mean, except we will never use them again.
