Can you tell me about Rocky Point?
Specifically school info - how many elementary schools? And good vs bad areas?

Hey we are in the process of buying a house in RP right now.
From what I know, there is only 1 elementary school, 1 middle and 1 high school. I've heard great things about the district as well.
We looked at 2 different houses in RP and they were so different. The first house, the area was so hilly, not very neighborhood-like to me. After that 1st house, I had decided I didn't want to live there, lol. Then we saw this house and it's so different. Not as hilly- houses are not right on top of each other- better property in my opinion.

I live in Rocky POint and my children attend the Rocky Point Schools.
There are actually 2 Elementary Schools.
FJC- is Kindergarten thru 2nd grade
JAE- is 3rd thru 5th grade
There is 1 Middle School & 1 High School.
The district is phenomenal! I moved from Sachem Schools when I got divorced and although Sachem was a god district, Rocky POint is ALOT smaller and alot more community oriented. I love the area!!! Any questions please feel free to FM me !!!!

Thanks! I've heard GREAT things about their special ed. program. I have to say, i really really like the idea of K-2 and 3-6 being separate also. Definitely worth looking into.

I have a son in both schools and I do have to say it definitely has it's perks. Both schools are extremely well run and all of the teachers are awesome!
