Can you tell me what Acid Reflux / Heartburn feels like?
My doc thinks the pressure in my belly (tightness and back pain) may be due to some indigestion problems.
I have to go for a gallbladder scan next week. 
She mentioned acid reflux but I have never had it so I don't know what it feels like.

Sorry to hear about the pain your in. For weeks now, I have had a stabbing pain that starts in my upper abdomen and shoots through my back - kind of as if someone was stabbing me with a knife. Its a constant pain that I get on & off - especially after I eat. My doctor told me that it could be a problem with my gallbladder. I went to see the sonogram tech & was told that that I didn't have a gallbladder infection or a stone. Being that my uterus is growing, it is pushing all of my digestive organs up, hense putting a ton of pressure on my intestines (which very werdly is now in my upper stomach - got to love being preggo! ) My point is this- You could be going through the same exact thing with the tightness feeling you have been experiencing. Especially and oddly enough may be the root of your back pain too. This may be the cause.
Anyhow.. You shold definately check all your organs out through a sonogram tech. I hope you feel better.
BTW- To answer your question, Heartburn feels like you swallowed about 5 habenero peppers at one time. Acid reflux can almost feel as if your having a heart attack in some cases. Theres a ton of research online about it. I hope you dont have any of these but if you do,

I had Acid Reflux really bad!! the only way I can descride it is that it felt like I had flames in my throat and chest it was gross!! the only thing that would make me feel beeter was to eat something so the burning sensation would go away..I ended up going to a gastroanteroligist and being put on prevacid.

i kind of agre with kerie.. but to try to be more specific, it's like when u burp ad part of u'r food comes up but it sits in your throat and chest and burns..

I agree...I had never in my life had heartburn or acid reflux. Then when I was pregnant I felt the burning sensation in my throat and chest and knew that's what it was. It stinks... but it amazingly goes away when the baby comes!!!

Well it's 4am and Im up with heart burn now and its definitely a burning in your chest and throat. I get it really bad when laying down.

That would seem obvious but since I have never had it, I don't know. But thanks.
I don't have a burning sensation in my chest or throat - just a tightness / squeezing feeling.
