Can you think of a Nassau bakery that will do a non-dairy icing/cake?
I forgot to take care of this before we left for FL and now we're having my family over to celebrate Colin's first this weekend. Tx!

I think there is a kosher bakery on Jerusalem in Bellmore, but I don't know if they are totally dairy free.
I make my own, I'm too big a control freak and paranoid about cross-contamination.
Another option is to order cupcakes from Divvies.

Steinbergs in Oceanside, it's a kosher bakery and they do a lot of non dairy things

Tx! The thing is we really don't believe his milk allergy is that bad.
He has always eaten things that are made with dairy (meatballs with parmesan, etc)
He's only had reactions to direct "very" dairy items - cream cheese, yogurt.

some cheeses become dairy free when they are aged, so be careful. the cheese just may not have lactose in it.
maybe Diana's cake girl can help you. I feel like you can have more control with someone you can talk to one on one rather than placing an order with some high school kid behind the counter, kwim?

The funny thing is, when we were in Orlando for his bday we stocked up at Target on stuff. They had a beautiful bakery there and the woman said they could do a non-dairy creamer to do cream on a cake. We never got it b/c we went to a restaurant and Colin got a fruit bowl with a candle  but I thought it was funny I could get one at Target!

My DS is anaphylactic to dairy and my MIL and SIL have gotten him cake from The Cake Gallery on Jerusalem in Bellmore a few times. Not only is it dairy free, it is delicious! Best dairy free cake I've eaten and we've tried a lot.
