Candy buffet worth it if party is mostly adults?
DS's first birthday is in June and we are having his party in our backyard. I keep going back and forth about what to do for a favor. I was originally going to get mugs made up with a pic and some wording then filling with candy, but then I didn't know if people would like that. I was then planning on doing a candy buffet, but I'm not sure if it will be worth it. The party is going to be majority adults with maybe...maybe 12 kids ranging from a few months to 10 yrs old. I always over think things when I plan parties and now that its getting closer I really need to make a decision.
My question is, if you had a candy buffet did the adults indulge just as much as the kids? Any other ideas? TIA

I've been to a few parties where there have been candy buffets- and the adults definitely enjoy it (if not more) than the kids! I say go for it!

At DS's party there were 7 kids and 50 adults. I had barely ANYTHING left and I made ALOT! I had
Oreo truffles Choc cover pretzles Choc cover oreos Chocolates cupcakes cookies cake lolipops.
I also bought little bags so everyone could take stuff home, so at the end most were empty.
I would def do it! Everyone LOVED it!

Candy buffets are more for the adults IMO (well, I don't let my DS eat much candy). Do it!

When we did the candy buffet table it was mostly the adults and the older kids coming back for more. The younger kids either weren't allowed to have too much or were too busy playing.

We only had adults at my SIL's baby shower & I did a "candy buffet".
It wasn't just candy. Chocolate dipped marshmellows, pretzels, etc. We did have rock candy, certs & M&Ms for coloring.

The Adults were the ones that LOVED it at DS party. I was actualy surprised. I had little gift bags for people to take home and they went crazy, I had nothing left!

Cool, I was hesitant to buy things for it, but I think my mind is made up now! I've been pricing out candy, now I have to find the jars to use for it.
