Re: candy cart?
could you buy candy in bulk and set up a candy buffet - different candies in glass containers/jars - like in Martha Stewart Weddings magazine?
I bought lots of candy at economy candy on the lower east side (economycandy.com) and set up a little buffet at our rehearsal dinner - spent $50 and had tons and tons and tons of candy left over (we had 35 guests)

Re: candy cart?
I did one myself for DH's 40th birthday. It cost ALOT less tan $450. I got some candy at Costco, and ordered different old time candy on-line. I got some apothacary jars from IKEA, and also bought giant martini and brandy type glasses in Michaels to hold the candy. Everyone RAVED!!!
