This week, I have 6 kids from another class in my room because a teacher is out and my school doesn't believe in subs Chat Icon So they scattered those kids around the school.

Sometimes in the afternoon, I give one of my responsible students the chance to walk around the room with the candy jar and allow each student to take 1 candy. We have been doing this since the beginning of the year and I really trust my students. There has never been a problem with taking more candy than allowed. I really do have very good kids.

Well, this afternoon when my student was handing around the candy jar, he gave it back to me and the jar was EMPTY and 5 students gathered around my desk saying they never got candy (I TRUST THEM) .....

One of the students (or a few) took all the candy........ and my students either don't know or don't want to be a tattle tale.

Now, this was A LOT of candy!!!! I got very upset and had a talk with the kids about it, but I am still really annoyed.

I am wondering what you ladies think I should do tomorrow to further handle the situation. Should I address it again? I just don't know. I don't want to look like I'm blowing it out of proportion because it's just candy, but whoever it was took A LOT and they are 10 bucks for a bag that's not even that big!! Edited to say I am 99.9% sure it was someone (or multiple someones) from the other class. I even have a feeling of exactly who it is because when I had an angry talk with the kids about it, he looked sooooooooooooooooooo guilty!!!!!!
