canned food storage ?

we bought our dogs a case of canned food last night. We left it in the car over night and brought it in the house this morning. Since it is cold out, all of the cans are now cold. How do we store them now? do we let them get room temperature or do we refrigerate them?
If we let them get room temperature, and they are eventually opened for a feeding- can we then refrigerate the remaining food? thanks so much!

Re: canned food storage ?

I would store it how you normally do and then after opening put it in the fridge.

I would guarantee that those cans have been through many temperatures cycles. Between the factory, the shipping trucks, possibly airplanes, trains, boats, etc. Then, who knows how they are stored at the store. I wouldn't worry about them getting a little cold overnight.
