car insurance recommendations
currently with geico and over the last few years they have been raising my rates with every renewal. i think its time to start looking elsewhere.
does anyone have any recommendations for company and/or agent?

actually Geico had the lowest rates by far. Everyone is raising rates for insurance, especially in NY where the fraud rates are so high.
We had Farmers and State Farm and Geico significantly beats them (and we even had a bigger "discount" because we have home insurance with State Farm) No tickets, low risk, and we have mid-size cars.

We actually have Geico and switched to them about 3 years ago because Liberty Mutual kept raising my rates each year.
Geico has not raised our rates since we have been with them.

we just switched from geico to utica and new rate is $1644 per year and now we have higher limits (100/300)
with geco it was over 1800 per year and we had lower limits (25/50)
so we saved quite a bit...

I had geico for 5 years and last month I switched to Liberty Mutual.
I have the same coverages and am paying over 100 less per month.

I have tried every insurance company and the only one that matched Geico's price price was Utica. I found no one lower than Geico.

All State was much less then geico for me
I am very happy with them- I have an actual agent who might be my friend since 7th grade- but he really goes above and beyond regardless

I feel like you REALLY can't generalize anymore - geico may save someone $400 over allstate, but allstate may save his brother $400 over geico!
violations, specific vehicle, payment history, claims, credit, driving record of EACH driver in the house, etc. all come into play!

this is true,
your best bet is to go through an agent they can find you the best quotes that's what we did...

I just switched to my husband's insurance (state farm) and he was blown away at the deal he got..less than $600 a year for me

We used Geico...then two years ago switched to AllState. This year our rates jumped almost 100 a month....so we checked with several agencies and we are now back with Geico.

We are Geico too, they are the lowest we found for us. We previously were with all-state and were paying about $250 more/month! They raised our rates too, so even with Geicos rate raise, which was like $1, they were still the cheapest.

Geico was one of my highest quotes, besides Statefarm. We had Allstate, but I switched to The Travelers back in October and saved $93 bucks a month! Can't beat that!!!
