Car question... need to choose soon-long

I am in the market for a new car...most likely we will be leasing the car.

I have narrowed it down to three cars, but will take suggestions as well (to confuse me a little bit more)

1. Cadillac CTS
2. Volkswagon EOS convertible
3. Volkswagon Passat

I know, they are very different cars...

Things to consider...

Caddy- More money down than the other two... less payment than the EOS, and slightly more than the Passat

EOS- Less money down, but the most monthly payment- about $90.00-100 more a month than the other two

PASSAT- Less money down (same as EOS) lowest payment- but only by a little bit

We do not have children yet, but there is a possibility that within 39 months (the time of the lease) we might have children.

If we get the EOS and we have children in that time frame, DH and I would switch cars so I do not have a car seat in a convertible...

LOOKS- My favorite being the EOS, then the CADDY, then the Passat

Room and comfort- Passat, Caddy are about the same... EOS being the least

We live in CT- it snows often- safety is a concern of course...

----

What would you do?
Any suggestions on other ways to narrow this down?

Any opinions on any of the cars?
Any experiences with them?

Any info about gas? mechanical issues?(stuff the salesman wont tell me!)

Re: Car question... need to choose soon-long

My mom has the passat. I never cared for driving it b/c to me the blind spots are so large. The bumper is really low and it detatches very easily. Mom has had it replaced 5 times and it still has issues. From other passat owners this happens to them as well. I don't have any experience with any of the other cars.
