car related ~~~~ different question
Well that accident I was in on the 24th went to the adjustor today and they say may car is totalled and they are willing to give me approx. $2900.00 for my car that is less the deductable. What should I do. Should I lease a car like everyone does now a days since I dont have much to put down or should i buy a car straight out with that money. Then again I wouldnt be getting a great car. I have always owned my cars so this is difficult for me. And if I do either where should I go. I need a family car with room for at least 4 maybe 5 people. It doesnt have to be a car it could be a small SUV of somesort. I dont know much about cars or buying them so please help.

Leasing a car MIGHT make your payments less a month. But then you will have to pay the differnce (you can finance this) turn it on or lease a new one at the end.

IMO no i wouldn't by a junker for 2900.
I think it depends on what you can afford on payments.
And just make sure you do not drive a lot of miles in a year if you lease! If you do i wouldn't!

Re: car related ~~~~ different question
I just went through this dilemma. We could have bought ANOTHER junker for whatever we could ahve saved up,a few thou, or we could ahve put that few thou towrd a new car. We chose the new car route because all the money we puit into the previous junker would ahve payed a year of car payments on a new car.
I would get a moderate car and use the $2900 as a downpayment. That will keep your payments lower.
