Car rental in the caribbean
So I have cars booked with 2 different companies. I was just comparing cost and car to make sure I get the best deal. I started asking questions about their insurance coverages. Both companies have policies that do NOT cover the occupants in the rented car but will cover 3rd party injuries (aka the other vehicle to $6 million). That is totally scary!!! What happens if there is an accident, the driver gets injured the policy will cover them but the rest of the people (AKA my children or other family) would be screwed!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I have Geico and their coverage doesn't work out of the US.
I called Empire and I have emergency Room coverage thru them.

Re: Car rental in the caribbean
Are you using a credit card for the purchase? Maybe you have insurance (or can buy additional insurance) through them?

Re: Car rental in the caribbean
Would it be covered with general travel insurance? You can get a policy pretty cheap.

I work for Avis and Budget. If they are either of the ones you are using, you can FM me with details.
