Car Seat - Head Support Question
The car seat I registered for does not have a head support: I hope Felicia doesn't mind but I'm using her's as an example so you know what I mean: Do most car seats come with that, or am I supposed to buy it? Looking at most of the Gracos online they don't have them.

Re: Car Seat - Head Support Question
Don't even bother with that head support thing. Instead, get the head "bumpers". They really do a GREAT job holding their heads up. They are my gift to all new moms I know. They look torturous, but I swear, it's the best thing.

Re: Car Seat - Head Support Question
in regards to head supports...most pediatricians and NICU staff will tell you not to use them....becuase they tend to push the baby's head forward and can block a good airway.
They suggest rolling recieving blankets on the side of the baby's head...nothing on top of the baby's head.

Re: Car Seat - Head Support Question
they don't really do that much in the way of support either...i had one with my first child and with the rubber neck they have at birth, her head was usually off to the side of slouched forward and not on the headrest at all!

Re: Car Seat - Head Support Question
we have a snuzzler as well as the head support thing in the carseat......the snuzzler can be for the whole body or for just the head (it comes apart) and its far better imho!
