Car Seat Installation Q for those without a latch system...
My car is pretty old (1999) so I am assuming it does not have the latch system. So my question is - how do I get the car seat installed? Do I do it myself or do I have to have someone install it for me? I have the Graco Snugride - I haven't opened the box yet because I don't have it yet so I don't know if it comes with easy directions to do this or what...just want to be prepared.

dont fret! I have the snugride and just insalled my carseat over the weekend.
THe bases have the LATCH built in so you can use it if you wwant. or you can use the seatbelt in your car.
if you have a LATCH in your car, it would be hooks in the seat near the belt buckles.
A seat belt is fine. you will see, it goes in the base and then you buckle it to the car.
i plan on getting my checked out to make sure its in there snug.

We have the same seat, no latch system and my husband installed it no problem !

We have latch but we use the seatbelt and it is super easy to take in and out.

You are gonna laugh, but DH took the seat apart & latched it directly to the frame. I love being married to a mechanic
