car seat question - tall children
About 9 months ago, we replaced our second carseat because DS reached the weight limit. We got the Graco MyRide. Now he's around 41" and 41 lbs, and his head is at the top of the seat! Do I need to replace it again? Could it be possible it's installed wrong? I had it installed for me at a body shop that's certified to do it. What do I replace it with?

My DD is 42" and 42 lbs and we have the Graco Nautilus. She fits awesome in it, very roomy and she doesn't look too big for the seat at all.

What do the directions say about weight and height limits? That would be the first thing I look at. I have an evenflo symphony 65 and it has high limits. (65 pounds with harnesses, 100 as a high back booster and over 4 feet for height) I can't see the installation being the issue. If the directions don't state the limits I would call the company and ask.

Re: car seat question - tall children
Thanks. I will give Graco a call. I went online to see exactly when I bought it. I realized it was July 16th! I really hope he's not too big for it. He's far from 65 lbs, but I'm nervous about his torso height.
ETA: I looked at a manual online. It says 49" for forward facing, so he's far from it. I just thought his head had to be below the top, but maybe that's just for rear facing
