Re: car seat question

I'm planning on leaving DD rear facing as long as possible. It's supposed to be safer.

Re: car seat question

As long as DC is not uncomfortable, and legs aren't too bent in the chair, they recommend facing it backward as long as possible.

Rear facing is safest... DD will probably be that way till the maximum rear facing allowance of 33 pounds... 1 year and 20 pounds is the bare minimum that a child can be forward facing...

The minimum is 1 year AND 20 lbs before changing it to forward facing.

It is safer in rear facing esp when younger because they just don't have strong enough neck/muscle strength.

You eventually have to change it because your child will just get too big to stay rear facing, but as long as DC is comfortable I would keep the seat rear facing as long as possible.

Hope that helps.

Re: car seat question

Yup, leaving DS rear facing as long as possible. He is already over 20 pounds (he is 10 months) so that won't be an issue Chat Icon Chat Icon
My sister, with 2 kids, even says to me all the time that I should switch him to front facing Chat Icon
