Car seat question for older kids (4-5+)
My DDs are 3 1/2y and 8m old and the little one has outgrown the infant seat. I am debating between buying a second Marathon for her, or get my older DD a more booster style seat and give the baby the marathon
My question is, when did you switch to a booster seat? and would an older child start to complain that they dont want to be in a 'baby' car seat at like 5? What is the age that they just wear a seatbelt?
Any insight would be great! thanks!

I believe the requirement for the booster is 4 yo and 40 pounds.
How much does your 3 1/2 YO weigh?

Ya know I am not 100% sure the age requirement for the booster is correct. I do think MOST of them are 40lbs+ I think the graco highback is 30 but PLEASE don't quote me on that. Are you looking for a 5pt harness booster or a belted booster? I moved Emma into a Britax Monarch when she was 5 because Lukie needed her Marathon, I couldn't spend $$$ on a seat that she would be out of in a little while.

You are 100% correct on that!

Re: Car seat question for older kids (4-5+)
Thanks for the feedback. I think I will stick with getting a second marathon for the baby, and keep my 3 yr in hers as well. I guess I was concerned that as she got older she might not want to sit in a baby style seat. However she is only 32lbs so she still has a way to go before 40lbs. Thanks

My DS will be 4 next month and as of right now, I have no plans to move him out of his Marathon. He is over 40 lbs already, but no where near the limit (65 lbs). He doesn't care, and has no clue its a baby seat. No complaints from him, so why move him out?
