Car Seat Registry Question..

I am not going for a travel system, I was going to do infant car seat and than Convertible car seat - but registering this weekend - I saw that there are There are 2 different kinds after the infant seat - convertible and booster. My question is - is it ok to go from infant to booser and skip the convertible, booster will last longer - some are up to 80 - 100 lbs.

Thanks girls!

Re: Car Seat Registry Question..

I *believe* that they can't go into a booster until they are 4. They would need a convertible after they outgrow the infant seat.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Car Seat Registry Question..

You can't really go from an Infant seat to a booster. You can go from a Infant/Convertible seat into a booster. They do have an infant/convertible combined seat. We had my son in an infant seat, then a convertible one and now he's in a booster seat, but he's now over 2 yrs. old.

I registered for the 3 in 1 for FH car. It goes from 5-70 lbs. That seemed to be the best to me.

Can't go to a booster until they're 4 years old and more importantly, should be a certain weight.

They're 80-100 lbs but if you have an 80lb baby - you'll definitely want to opt for that csection.

eta. I had an infant carrier, a convertible & now just bought a booster. In the end, if you want a second baby, Baby #1 can stay in the convertible until Baby #2 needs it.
