Do not use Merrick Taxi to the airport, they are the worst (IMO) look in the yellow pages and hire an airport car service...
I can't remember the name of the one I used sorry, but they took my grandma to one terminal, let me see her off, and then took the hub and I to another terminal for one price, Merrick Taxi wanted to charge us two fares to do that!!! Cheeky Monkeys!

My parents who live in Merrick always Used Broward Limo. they are great.. we even Used them home form our wedding
