Carb counters - what's your number?
I'm back to counting calories, fat, protein and carbs because I've plateaued again even though I'm doing Insanity and can see muscle definition.
Yesterday, mostly due to my breakfast oatmeal, I was at 280 grams of carbs in one day.
My carbs are all from good sources, unrefined, so I'm not going crazy over it but I've read from multiple sources to limit them to 100-150 grams per day for weight loss. Or 150-200 depending on your exercise regime.
Just wondering if anyone else is counting and what results you have seen / what number you try to stick to. Of course, it's not the whole story, I am paying attention to a lot more than carbs but I'm keeping this post as brief as possible.

Re: Carb counters - what's your number?
I try to stay between 60 and 80 grams of carbs a day, and my goal for protein is 105, but I almost never get there. If I get close to 90 I am happy.
Today is a bad day (113 based on my planned dinner) but I am sick so I am comfort-eating.

Would you ladies mind giving me an idea of what you're eating? I've been struggling with stomach upset with certain healthy foods and am having a hard time coming up with things that are good for weight loss but not bad for my tummy.

Re: Carb counters - what's your number?
All depends on your height/weight, workout routines.... I'm 4'11.5 and eat around 1400 (1367 to be exact) calories a day and I do 171 grams protein 103 carbs 30 fat most of my carbs are from veggies or beans... if I have starchy carbs they would mainly come from gg scandinavian crisp bread, 1/2 a sweet potato, oat or wheat bran, or paleo bread.

I *try* to have healthy carbs but it's hard. There are a few sugars in oatmeal (old fashions rolled oats) and greek yogurt but they are basically healthy. I also love spaghetti squash for it's low cals but that adds up in carbs as well. I stay away from bread and pasta as much as possible. Lunch is usually leftovers of a meat and veggie dish from the night before, or tuna salad with low fat mayo. For dinner we only really eat chicken, ground turkey and sausage with the occasional beef dish thrown in. I haven't been able to eat fish in a while but I know I should.

I follow the Abs diet, they have a lot of recipes high in protein and low carbs. I made their Jambalaya the other day and that's 42g of protein for one serving.
