Carle Place School District
How is Carle Place School district? How about the area in Westbury that has Carle Place schools. We saw a house we sorta liked but wanted advice on the area.
Since Carle Place school district is a small district, their numbers are very small to make an impact on many of the school district rankings which are based solely on volume. Any advice about the school dist or the area would be appreicated.

what house did you look at?
I grew up there. carle place schools, westbury address.
School is excellent. very small school district. As you can see, all three schools are basically next to each other. Each grade has approximately 100-110 people. Many teachers there actually went to school there too.
since the town is so small, it has its pros and cons
pro- you know EVERYONE
con- everyone knows about everything
But I LOVED my high school experience. It had many after school activities, great sports, many AP classes, etc....

And people RARELY move. Many pass down the house to their kids. Neighbors on either side of house had their house passed down from their parents.

I grew up in Carle Place & we are looking to move back, so that when I have kids they will be raised there.
Its a small "hamlet" as they call it.
It was a great town to grow up in, ver small, I think its like a square mile long. I lived In CP , & CP sd, but westbury,CP schools is just as nice.
The schools are basically on one hugeeeeeeee ground , very seperated from one another, but nonethe less all walking distance to each other.
Ther are 3 schools,
k-2
3-6
7-12
Id buy ther in a heart beat

my husband grew up in CPand we looked at a lot of houses there. My good family friend taught there adn then became a principal. Everyone I know loves it

My sister knows the principals daughter. I think the school has a pretty decent rep, but like a pp said, it is a very small school.

I grew up in Carle Place and so did my parents. Some of my teachers actually taught my parents. I hope to move back there so my kids will go to Carle Place Schools. I love how small the classes are and that everyone knows everyone. Sometimes that can be a drawback b/c everyone really does know everyone's business and it can be a little cliquey (sp) but I wouldn't hestitate at all for a minute to move back there. My parents still live there.

I grew up in CP and so did most of my family. The fact that none of us have left speaks for itself! It is a very small, close town and it is a great place to raise a family!! My future hubby (will be my hubby on Saturday  ) just bought a house on the Westbury side of CP on Ward Street. I've loved living in CP and never plan on leaving!!
