Carry on luggage on planes?
Are you still not allowed any carry on luggage on airplanes? I am flying on Sat and need to know if I can bring my purse or if I have to stick my wallet and passport into a ziplock bag. I looked on the FAA website but couldnt find an answer. Anyone know? TIA!!

That includes lip gloss, found that out the hard way yesterday

I flew from the UK to JFK 2 weeks ago and was able to bring carry ons, however I had to taste all the baby food and formula on the way in (can you say GROSS) but it was all fine and dandy

I am not sure about lipstick -- I heard it was ok somewhere but when I flew America West there were signs saying no make up.
I think in general it's better to put anything questionable in checked bags just in case they say no which leaves you no choice but to toss it.

Did you check the airline website directly - I know I have been checking AA's and they have it nicely laid out by destination as to what you can and can't bring. If you aren't sure I would simply leave it and save yourself the hassle.
