Carseat Check... anyone know why she ??
We had our dds convertible carseat on the passangers side in the back using the latch system. The lady it took it out and put it in the middle with the seatbelt instead. I wasnt there so i didnt get to ask her.. dh was there and said all she said was "the seatbelts are tested for adults"..
Um am i wrong but i thought the Latch system was known to be better to use than seatbelt if you can?
Im thinking about moving the car seat back to passanger side.

No, both ways are effective. Latch was just used to make it "easier". If you had a professional install it via seatbelt, I would leave it. In the middle, it's more than likely that there are no latch connectors, and being the safest in the middle, you would have to install by seatbelt.

Not sure of the exact reason, but when I had mine inspected they installed the car seat in the middle. Since its an SUV the seat belt comes from above. One day driving I made a sharp turn and the car seat tipped over because it was leveraged against nothing. We re-installed it behind the passenger seat using the latch system, and its 10x more secure than it was.
I would go with your gut...

My local police station installed mine on the passenger side.

Usually the center is safest, since you have the most crumple zone from either side. Some car's owners manuals won't let you use the middle seat. Seatbelts are no more or less safe than LATCH (up until about 40lbs, when you have to use the seatbelt), but the LATCH is easier to use for parents, so the chances of doing it right are higher.
