Carters vs. Gerber?
which brand is better for blankets, bedding etc?
i'm also stuck on which mattress pad to get? the Carters one or Simmons/Sealy?

I have them both and had no problem with either. We just went with whatever was soft and cute. Both brands wash well.
As for the matress pad, we have the Sealy one because it matched the matress and we also have the BRU brand which it just as great.

I think the carters stuff wears and washes much better than the gerber. The gerber thermal blankets are good, but for everything else I like carters better.

I completely agree- but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the gerber thermal blankets.

I prefer Carters. Gerber stuff doesn't wash well, it shrinks too much
