You can browse the categories Target is offering and load offers onto your "cartwheel". The number of "spaces" you get increase the more you use it and the more your FB friends use it. I think you start out with 10. New offers are released each week. You just show your cartwheel barcode on your phone to the cashier and the money comes off your bill. You can combine cartwheel offers with Target coupons and manufacturer coupons.

you go on it and search their deals...you can browse all deals, search by category (baby, home, etc) or search by specific item
you see the offers (lets say 5% off bounty paper towel), you "claim it" by clicking on it and adding it to your cartwheel. you can claim up to about 20 offers. they stay in your cartwheel until they expire or you delete them. when you go to the register you just show them a barcode to scan and your discount is applied.
i love it - its a great idea and i find it is most helpful if you have a shopping list and can add the stuff to your cartwheel before going to the store.

Love this app! I also noticed the other day that in the search bar there is a barcode that if you push it brings up a screen allowing you to scan an item to see if there is an offer! The other day I used it to scan a few items in my cart and found a few offers I had missed.

Love Cartwheel! Today there was a deal for 40% off all women's apparel!
P.S., you don't need a smartphone, just FB. You can print out the barcode and it never changes. You can just add the deals from your PC. Not a bad idea to print it anyway for those times that your battery is dead on your phone!

Oh wow, that's good to know! I had deactivated my FB account a few weeks ago, but then realized I couldn't use Cartwheel....
